Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve element operating mechanism of a water faucet or the like by which the operating force is remarkably lightened.
SOLUTION: A mechanism of the water faucet comprises a valve element for opening and closing a water passage, a lever plate 11 connected to the valve element capable of moving the valve element in the closing or opening direction by inclined movement to a lower side or an upper side on the fulcrums 8a, 11b, and the springs 10, 10 which is mounted in the direction for pressing the lever plate 11 to the fulcrum 8a, so that it gives the inclination torque to the lever plate 11 when it is inclined to the lower side or the upper side, and gives a position holding force after the completion of the inclined movement.
