Abstract:

To reduce frictional resistance between a roller shaft and a sliding surface in a valve gear of an engine for journaling a roller rollingly contacting with a valve system cam of a camshaft via a roller shaft to a roller support part arranged in a first rocker arm, interlocking and connecting a second rocker arm having the sliding surface for slidingly contacting the roller shaft with and to an engine valve and displacing any one of the rocking axis of the first and second rocker arms in a plane orthogonal to the axis of the camshaft.

Oil holding recessed parts 57A and 57B capable of holding oil, are formed on the sliding surfaces 48A and 48B of the second rocker arms 26A and 26B.
