To provide a valve gear of an internal combustion engine improved in the responsiveness of a variable valve train while restraining influence on fuel injection from an injector.
The valve gear 30 of the internal combustion engine applied to the internal combustion engine 1 having a fuel supply device 10 equipped with a common rail 14 for accumulating fuel pressurized by a fuel pump 13, the injector 15 for injecting the fuel accumulated in the common rail 14, and a return passage 21 for returning the remaining fuel generated in injection of the fuel by the injector 15 to a fuel tank 11 from the injector 15, and equipped with the variable valve train 34 driven by working fluid introduced by OCV 35 and varying opening and closing characteristics of an intake valve, is provided with an introduction passage 36 for connecting the return passage 21 and the OCV 35 so that the remaining fuel in the return passage 21 is introduced into the OCV 35 as the working fluid.
