PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a less-expensive valve handle fixing and holding tool of which fitting is convenient.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a handle fixing and holding tool 10for holding a valve opened state of a ball valve Vto be opened or closed by rotating a valve shaft by a handle 23 extending from the valve shaft 22 in a lateral direction. This tool is comprised of U-shaped main bodies fitted at both opposing side surfaces at a valve case 21 and an abutting plate 14 extending from the main body toward the handle and abutted against the side surface of the handle 23 at a front side of the valve closing direction under a valve opened state. The main body is fitted from its side surface into the valve case 21 while a nut fixing part of the handle 23 is being set to a through hole. This state shows that the abutting plate 14 is abutted against a front side of the valve closing direction (an arrow direction) of the handle 23, so that the handle 23 cannot be rotated in a valve closing direction. Due to this fact, the valve opened state of this ball valve Vis maintained and the valve is not accidentally closed under a certain circumstances.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
