Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase anti-wear property and rigidity of the lower part of skirt of a valve lifter. and reduce cost for production. CONSTITUTION:An upper skirt 3 of low hard aluminum alloy is crimp-connected into a steel roof plate 2, and the upper skirt 3 is crimp-connected or connected by welding to a lower skirt 4 of high hard thin steel plate or high hard aluminum alloy at an oil groove portion 3a around the periphery of the skirt, to form a split type valve lifter 1. Also, a guide 4c for a hydraulic rush adjuster 5 is formed integrally in the lower skirt 4.
