Abstract:
To provide a valve mechanism for an engine which improves removability of a core after casting of a cylinder head and achieves improvement of cooling effect of a suction/exhaust valve and downsizing of the cylinder head.SOLUTION: A valve mechanism 10 for an engine includes: a valve guide 12 having a body part 12a in which a guide hole for passing a valve stem 11b of a suction/exhaust valve 11 is formed at its axis and which extends in an axial direction, and a diameter expansion part 12b which is formed at a part of an outer peripheral surface of the body part 12a so that its diameter expands in a radial outer direction; and a cylinder head 16 having a water chamber 22 formed with an opening 23 which is closed by the diameter expansion part 12b. The body part 12a forms the valve mechanism 10 for the engine which faces the water chamber 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
