Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control the excessive surface pressure of a contact part between a locker arm and a cam and to prevent the occurrence of damage, by installing a moving system for the locker arm to a valve operation switching device which connects two coil pressure chambers of the locker arm to an oil pressure return passage, provided with an oil pressure feed passage and a stopper mechanism, through a direction switching valve. CONSTITUTION:Locker arms 23 and 24 are rotatively and axially movably installed to a locker shaft 26, and oil pressure chambers 29 and 30 are respectively formed between the end surfaces of a locker bracket 25 and the locker arm, and cams 21a, 22a for operation and cams 21b, 22b for recess are selected through movement in the direction of an axis of the locker arms 23 and 24 corresponding to the oil pressure of the two oil pressure chambers 29 and 30. A direction switching valve 40 is switched to position I under a high-load condition and to a position II under a low-load consition. In the case of actuation for operation and recess, setting is made so that a stop valve 43 is opened at a given timing which synchronizes with a cam lift at a point of time when a suction valve 1 of a cylinder, whereon switching is made, completes a usual lift, and control of the oil pressure in the oil pressure chambers 29 and 30 enables rapid movement of the locker arms 23 and 24.
