Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enclose an auxiliary fork in such a way that it can expand and contract from the landing floor of a landing site so that when it is projected, it can form a planar landing face on which smooth travel is possible.
SOLUTION: In the landing site S of a fork type multistory storage tower, the fork of a lift and a fork secured to a landing floor A are allowed to pass each other, and an auxiliary fork projecting between time forks is enclosed in the landing floor A in such a way as to be capable of expansion and contraction, whereby a planar automobile passage can be formed. The pair of forks and the fork are not provided in horizontally symmetrical positions, so that a space to enclose the auxiliary fork can be created. Further, by using the landing floor A as a turntable, it is made easier to load and unload a stored object.
