PURPOSE: To optimize a valve for the use as a suction valve or a rear valve in a hydraulic shock absorber such as a shock absorber, a front fork, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This relates to a valve structure which is provided with a valve seat member 2, where outside ports 2b in a line parallel along inside ports 2a are bored, a valve body 10, which blocks the downstream side of the outside port 2b capably of release, being positioned adjacently capably of seating on and separation from one end face of the valve seat member 2, and a return spring 30 which is energized in the tendency of seating the valve body 10 on one end face of the valve seat member 2. The valve body 10 is a circular floating valve being made in the shape of a ring with such a thickness that it does not flexibly deformed, and also this has a collar 11 projected rearward at the periphery end of the circular floating valve, while a return spring abuts its outside periphery end serving as a free end against the rear of the valve body 10 and against the inside periphery of the collar 11, keeping with its inside periphery end as a fixed end.
