Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjustment device that can suppress a decline in adjustment speed of valve timing.SOLUTION: A holder 54 of a valve timing adjustment device includes: a filter holding portion 66 for holding a filter 53 so that working fluid flowing in a connection oil passage 72 can be filtrated; a space formation portion 67 for forming a foreign matter reservoir space 73 on the outer side in the radial direction relative to the connection oil passage 72; an inflow oil passage formation portion 68 for forming an inflow oil passage 76 that communicates the connection oil passage 72 with the foreign matter reservoir space 73 on the side of an outer oil passage 94 relative to the filter 53; and an outflow oil passage formation portion for forming an outflow oil passage that communicates the foreign matter reservoir space 73 with the connection oil passage 72 on the side of a supply oil passage 37 relative to the filter 53 and has minimum flow passage width that is a mesh size of the filter 53 or smaller. Thus, foreign matters adhering to the filter 53 are scattered outwards in the radial direction due to centrifugal force and then entrapped in the foreign matter reservoir space 73, so as to enable suppression of clogging of the filter 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
