Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device which improves durability while reducing a physical constitution.SOLUTION: A cover 11 is provided for restricting an edge part 251 expanding in a radially outward direction on the radially outside of a sprocket 25 interlocked with rotation of an engine. At an inner rotor 30 accommodated in a radially inward direction of the sprocket 25, a projection part 301 located between a plurality of projection parts 254 provided radially inside of the sprocket 25 is provided radially outside. When a side wall 302 of the projection part 301 and a side wall 255 of the projection part 254 come into contact and relative rotation of the inner rotor 30 with respect to the sprocket 25 is restricted, an action force F1 acts on a bearing B1 of the sprocket 25 and the inner rotor 30 by an inertia force of rotary motion of the inner rotor 30. At this time, the cover 11 exerts a reaction force F2 with respect to the action force F1 on the sprocket 25, so that a load applied in the radially outward direction of the sprocket 25 becomes small.
