Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing control device which stabilizes combustion in a cylinder pause type internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In S101, a determination unit determines in which a pause-side cylinder exists between an operation state and a pause state. In S103, a calculation unit calculates a synchronization correction amount ΔI for making an operation-side change speed VR of an operation-side rotation phase and a pause-side change speed VL of a pause-side rotation phase synchronized with each other in a pause period TS in which the pause-side cylinder is determined to be in the pause state by the determination unit. In S104 and S105 in the pause period TS, a pause-side control amount IL for controlling the pause-side rotation phase toward a target phase is corrected by the synchronization correction amount ΔI which is calculated by the calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
