Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening and closing timing control device capable of suppressing occurrence of malfunction.SOLUTION: A valve opening and closing timing control device 10 includes: an instruction acquisition part 91 which acquires that there is an instruction for retaining a present state as a relative rotation phase of a relative rotation control mechanism 2; a phase detection part 92 which detects an actual relative rotation phase of a relative rotation control mechanism 2; a determination part 93 which determines whether or not the actual relative rotation phase is maintained within a predetermined range of the relative rotation phase based on the instruction over predetermined time which is preset; a calculation part 94 which calculates an average value of electric current value of a conducting current during the predetermined time when it is determined that the actual relative rotation phase is maintained within the predetermined range of the relative rotation phase based on the instruction over the preset predetermined time by the determination part 93; and an update part 95 which updates an advance angle side threshold electric current and a retard angle side threshold electric current on the basis of the average value calculated by the calculation part 94.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
