To provide a valve train for always guaranteeing a suitable and smooth operation by improving the initiation performance and the continuous stability of an internal combustion engine, and to provide the internal combustion engine having the same.
The valve train comprises: a cam formed so that a cam height and a cam operating angle are continuously changed, integrally rotated with a camshaft and constituted relatively movably in the axial direction of the camshaft; and a valve lifter pressed by the surface of the cam to advance or retract the valve. The cam 13 has a main cam surface 13a inclined in the axial direction of the camshaft corresponding from the low speed rotation range to the high speed rotation range of the engine, and a starting cam surface 13b formed to lift the valve by an infinitesimal stroke near the rear part of the intake stroke of the engine in the extremely low speed rotation range.
