Abstract:
To provide a valve train structure of an internal combustion engine which prevents a valve from opening at an unintended timing.SOLUTION: A valve train structure 10 includes: a valve 30; and a rocker arm 16 which is brought into contact with a cam 12 supported by a cam shaft 14. In the valve train structure, the valve 30 opens a valve hole 11a by pressing a valve stem 32 by the rocker arm 16 by rotation of the cam 12. The valve train structure 10 has a valve moving suppression mechanism 40 having an engaging member 48 displaceable between an engagement state in which movement of the valve 30 in an open direction is suppressed by being engaged with a recessed groove 32a of the valve stem 32 and a non-engagement state in which the movement of the valve 30 is allowed by being separated from the recessed groove 32a, a power transmission member 42 transmitting power received by the rocker arm 16 from the cam 12 to the engaging member 48, and a spring member 50. The engaging member 48 is brought in the engagement state by biasing force of the spring member 50 and in the non-engagement state against the biasing force of the spring member 50 by receiving power from the power transmission member 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
