Abstract:
To provide a valve having a maintainable valve seat.
A valve 10 has a valve body 12, and the valve body 12 has an upper seal surface 24 and a maintainable valve seat 26. The maintainable valve seat 26 is attached to the valve body 12 so as to be detachable therefrom, and has a bottom seal surface. A gasket 40 is arranged between the upper and bottom seal surfaces 24 and 32, and provides seals to the valve body 12 and the maintainable valve seat 26. A profile is formed on at least one of the seal surfaces 24 and 32. The gasket 40 is highly compressed so that an effective seal is formed.
