A rocking catch member and a fixing catch member are formed so as to catch a cut blank 2 in its inward and outward movement direction as a vane, grinding wheels 11 are mounted to both facing surfaces of both the catch members, respectively, the blank is caught between rounded grooves 11a formed on the respective grinding tools, the rocking catch member is pressed by a predetermined pressing force, the blank is moved by a blank transferring lever 14, and the edge parts of the blank are ground by the grinding wheels. Thereby, the edge part slidably contacts to the grinding wheel throughout its entire length after the swelled part produced at the end of the edge part by shearing is ground and the swelled part is removed, and thus, a grinding rate is lowered and it is not largely ground in that state, so that unnecessary grinding can suitably be prevented and the edge parts can precisely be ground by stabilizing the grinding amount.
