Abstract:

To provide a vane pump 2 including a vane 14 having asymmetrical tip part 16, and with an excellent workability.SOLUTION: A vane pump 2 includes: a pump casing 8 that forms a pump chamber 4; a rotor 6 provided in the pump chamber 4 and having an outer peripheral face 10 on which a plurality of slits 12 are formed; and a plurality of vanes 14 provided respectively in the plurality of slits 12. A tip part 16 of the vane 14 has an asymmetrical shape with respect to a thickness center of the vane 14. One of an inner face 20 of the slit 12 and an outer face 22 of the vane 14 includes a recess 24 and the other of the inner face 20 of the slit 12 and the outer face 22 of the vane 14 includes a projection 26 which can be stored in the recess 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
