Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump capable of improving sealability between the wall face of a housing and a vane.SOLUTION: A vane pump 10 includes a housing 20 inside which a pump chamber 20A is formed, a rotor 30 arranged in the pump chamber 20A, and a vane 40 mounted on the rotor 30, and adapted to be rotated integrally with the rotor 30 to partition the pump chamber 20A into a plurality of operating spaces. The vane 40 includes caps 41 rotatably mounted at both longitudinal ends of the vane 40 so that the ends on the downstream sides in the rotating direction come close to the vane 40, when rotated relatively to the vane 40 with the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the vane 40 and the axial direction of the rotor 30, as the direction of the rotational axis.
