PURPOSE: To facilitate the development of a vanity mirror to a using position by allowing the engagement between one edge of a cover at a closed position and the locked part of a shift member to be released, when pressing is performed at the other edge, and by allowing the cover to be turned to an opened position by the urging power of an urging means.

CONSTITUTION: When a cover 12 which covers the front surface of a horizontally rectangular body 5 of a vanity mirror 1 fitted in a recessed part 3 formed on a sun visor 2 is at a closed position, if the cover 21 is to be opened, a lock arm 39 is turned so that the upper edge part shifts forward, by forwardly pressing the part corresponding to the pressed part 41 of the lock arm 39 of the cover 21. Therefore, the engagement between the locked part 35a of a slider 31 and an engagement part 43 positioned at the upper edge of the lock arm 39 is released, and the downward shift of the slider 31 is permitted. In this state, the cover 21 is turned upwardly by the springly force of a pulling spring 29 around the supporting pins 27 and 28.
