PURPOSE: To make the mutual transfer from the state of weak combustion to the state of strong combustion smoothly and keep the state of combustion linear and make it possible to enlarge the width of variability at the same time by specifying the ratio of diameters of the holes of the nozzles on the side of a sub-burner and on the side of main burner.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of nozzles 6 and 11 are connected in series to a vaporizer 4 connected to an oil delivery pump 2 and the nozzle 6 communicates with the nozzle 11. A sub-burner 18 for continuous burning is provided opposite to the nozzle 6 and a main burner 23 for intermittent combustion is provided opposite to the nozzle 11. The diameter A of the holes 8 of the nozzle 6 on the side of the sub-burner 18 and the diameter B of the holes 12 of the nozzle 11 on the side of the main burner 22 are formed to give the ratio of A and B from 1:1.32 to 1:1.34. With this constitution the pressure of jet of the nozzle 6 at the largest weak combustion and the pressure of jet of the nozzles 6 and 11 at the strong combustion can be set at substantially the same pressure, and the transfer between the strong state and weak state of the combustion can be smooth, and the width of thermal power variably can be extended with the combustion quantity in linear state.
