To provide a vaporizing and mixing apparatus capable of improving responsiveness, atomization, vaporization, uniform mixing, and the like of fuel, minimizing electric energy required for vaporization of fuel, improving miniaturization, weight reduction and mountability of the apparatus and mountable also to an exhaust system or the like of an internal combustion engine.
This vaporizing and mixing apparatus comprises an air flow control means 2 imparting swirling force to air flow led into an air flow passage part 1A; at least one injection means 4 for injecting fuel or other liquid in an orthogonal or intersecting direction to a center axis of the swirling air flow controlled by the air flow control means 2; and a vaporizing means 5 disposed downstream of the injection means 4 and capable of throttling and heating the air flow.
