Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embodiment of a general type variable camshaft characterized by axial mounting at lower costs.SOLUTION: A variable camshaft (1) includes an inner shaft (2), an outer shaft (3) disposed coaxially with the inner shaft (2), a first cam (5) rotatably integrally connected to the inner shaft (2), and a second cam (7) rotatably integrally connected to the outer shaft (3). Essentially, a recess (12) opened toward the outer shaft (3), in particular, an annular groove is formed on the inner shaft (2), and at least one axial supporting element (13) is disposed in a manner that it is fixed to a hole (16) of the outer shaft (3) at one side, and engaged with the recess (12) of the inner shaft (2) at the other side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
