To provide a variable capacitor wherein a bias signal is applied stably to a varactor, miniaturization is realized, handling is easy, waveform distortion, intermodulation distortion, etc. are small, electric power resistance is also superior and manufacturing is easy.
In the variable capacitor, N (N=2n+1) varactors C1-C5 which are connected in series, a first signal terminal connected to a first electrode of the first varactor C1, a second signal terminal connected to a second electrode of the Nth varactor C5, a first individual bias line of which ends are connected to the first electrode of the first varactor C1 and first electrodes of the (2i+1)th varactors C3, C5, respectively, and a second individual bias line of which ends are connected to the second electrode of the Nth varactor C5 and second electrodes of the (2i-1)th varactors C3, C1, respectively, are formed on a support substrate 1.
