The variable capacitor includes: a first internal electrode which has a first pull-out part where an opening is formed, parts on both sides of the opening are extended in the long side direction of an element, and an end part connected to the first external electrode on one long side is provided, and a first opposing region formed so as to bridge the opening of the first pull-out part from both sides, and which is disposed on the upper surface of a first ceramic dielectric layer; a second internal electrode which has a second opposing region whose distal end is disposed inside the projection region of the opening of the first pull-out part and also disposed so as to cross the projection region of the first opposing region and a second pull-out part formed wider in the long side direction of the element than the second opposing region and provided with an end part connected to the second external electrode on the other long side, and which is disposed on the lower surface of the first ceramic dielectric layer; a first dummy internal electrode formed so as to face the first internal electrode; and a second dummy internal electrode formed so as to face the second internal electrode.
