To provide a pump which meets ideal characteristics such as fluid pressures, number of revolutions and water temperatures, and realizes a high reliability and an improvement of fuel consumption.
The invention provides a variable capacity type fluid pump capable of performing a control independently of engine speeds. The pump has a planet gear mechanism having a first gear, a second gear, and a third gear, a braking means for generating a braking force to the first gear, and an one-way clutch placed between the second gear and the third gear. Further, the second gear is coupled to a crank shaft of the engine and transmits rotating forces of the crank shaft, and the third gear is coupled to a fluid pump, and the number of revolutions of the first gear is controlled by a braking means, and the number of revolutions of the fluid pump is controllable independently of the engine speeds by the control. Thereby, fuel consumption can be improved since the work done can be lowered without depending on engine speeds if the work done of the fluid pump can be reduced.
