Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable code type cylinder lock dispensing with the intervening operation of a change key and positively eliminating the reuse of an original first key made nonusable by the change of key code while allowing the reuse of the original first key by the reverse change of the key code if necessary.
SOLUTION: A change pin is fed into a pocket part of a plug from a driver pinhole of a cylinder case, and an inner end of a resist pin is projected into a keyhole of the plug. A second key used after the code change is formed with an escape part through which the inner end can pass. Each of a first change key and a second change key used in an operation process of the reverse change of the key code is formed divided in an upper key plate and a lower key plate. The extraction and insertion of the upper key plate is carried out in the noninterfering state with the inner end of the code pin.
