Title:
VARIABLE COMPRESSION RATIO INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016205253
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable compression ratio internal combustion engine which can make compatible oil separation performance at an engine high-load operation, and blow-by gas scavenging performance at an engine low-load operation.SOLUTION: A variable compression ratio internal combustion engine comprises a first backflow passage 70 and a second backflow passage 80 for making a blow-by gas in a crank case 1 flow back to an engine intake passage. An oi separator 73 is arranged in the first backflow passage so that a pressure loss at the passage of the blow-by gas in the first backflow passage becomes larger than a pressure loss at the passage of the blow-by gas in the second backflow passage. The variable compression ratio internal combustion engine changes a mechanical compression ratio so that the mechanical compression ratio is increased as an engine load becomes small, and the first backflow passage and the second backflow passage are constituted so that a volume of the blow-by gas passing in the first backflow passage is reduced, and a volume of the blow-by gas passing in the second backflow passage is increased as the mechanical compression ratio is increased by the relative movement of a cylinder block 2 with respect to the crank case.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
