Abstract:
To provide a technology inhibiting cylinder bore deformation and inhibiting friction and wear by supplying sufficient oil to a second gear part in a variable compression ratio internal combustion engine.
A cylinder head 4 is formed integrally with a cylinder block 2. The integrally formed cylinder block 2 and cylinder head 4 include two oil passages 13 for dropping oil from an oil pocket disposed at the highest section of the cylinder head 4 to parts right above each worm wheel 61a, 61b.
