Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose variable digital filter capable of flexibly corresponding to a use environment or an application.SOLUTION: The variable digital filter circuit comprises: an FFT circuit 11 for performing Fourier transformation of an input digital signal; a digital filter 12 for performing filtering processing of an output signal of the FFT circuit 11 in accordance with a set filter coefficient; an external memory 14 for storing information on an allowable passband indicating a frequency area of a desired signal wave, a threshold level indicating a lower limit of a signal level of an unnecessary wave to be removed and the filter coefficient giving passage characteristics of each frequency; and a threshold determination part 13 for comparing a frequency component of the signal detected by the FFT circuit 11 with the allowable passband to estimate a desired signal wave and an unnecessary wave, and for comparing a signal level of the signal estimated as the unnecessary wave with the threshold level to determine whether or not the unnecessary wave should be removed, and for reading the filter coefficient for removing the frequency component of the unnecessary wave determined to be removed from the external memory 14, and for setting the filter coefficient in the digital filter 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
