Title:
VARIABLE DISCHARGE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3893707
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump capable of easily and surely controlling flow rate fed to an accumulator piping even when the engine speed is increased and oil transfer rate of the pump is high without oversizing the device, increasing electric power, delay in response of a flow rate control valve, or collision between a cam roller and a cam.
SOLUTION: Only a first check valve 4 allowing fluid to flow only from a low pressure passage 11 toward a pressure chamber 23 is provided between the pressure chamber 23 and the low pressure passage 11 with a variable cam profile formed on a cam 13 causing a plunger 21 to make a reciprocating motion and a cam 13 moving means 6 is equipped, therefor, a solenoid valve or the like for controlling the flow rate is not provided between the pressure chamber and the low pressure passage as a suction adjusting type pump conventionally proposed and because oil is completely sucked and fed with the flow controlled by a cam lift quantity of the variable cam 13, it does not cause any problem such as self-closing and delay in response of the flow rate control solenoid valve and noise and non-reliability arising out of collision between the cam 13 and a cam roller 22.
