The variable displacement compressor having the variably inclinable swash plate for converting the rotation of a drive shaft into the reciprocating motion of a piston comprises a minimum inclination angle defining means for defining the mechanical minimum inclination angle of the swash plate, the biasing means for biasing the swash plate in the inclination angle increasing direction, and a connecting means for connecting the minimum inclination angle defining means and the biasing means integrally with each other.
