Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily allow discharge capacity control by secure flowing of a refrigerant through a pressure discharge passage even when foreign matters accumulate in a filter provided in the pressure discharge passage.SOLUTION: A variable displacement compressor comprises a fixed orifice 160a arranged in a pressure discharge passage which provides communication between a crank chamber and a suction chamber 119, and a first filter 180 which is provided on a downstream side of the fixed orifice 160a and covers an opening 161 on the suction chamber 119 side of the pressure discharge passage, compresses a refrigerant sucked in a cylinder bore from the suction chamber 119 and discharges the same into a discharge chamber. The first filter 180 has net members 184, 185 of predetermined aperture sizes and comprises a bypass passage 186 which provides communication between the opening 161 of the pressure discharge passage and the suction chamber 119 while bypassing the net members 184, 185 and has a flow passage cross-sectional area larger than the flow passage cross-sectional area of the fixed orifice 160a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
