A capacity control valve 50 includes a first valve element 60 provided in a pressure sensitive body 57, and adapted to be opened with an electromagnetic solenoid 52 magnetized to move a driving force transmitter 68 and to be closed with the electromagnetic solenoid 52 demagnetized to move the driving force transmitter 68, to adjust the opening of a first communication passage 81 ranging from a crank chamber 15 to a suction chamber 31. The capacity control valve 50 further includes a second valve element 70 for adjusting the opening of a second communication passage 82 communicating a discharge chamber 30 with a pressure sensitive chamber 56, the second valve element 70 being adapted to be opened when energized to be opened by a valve opening spring 71 to cause a pressure in the discharge chamber 30 to be lower than a predetermined pressure.
