Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the front visibility by changing the distribution of luminous intensity of a projector type head lamp for vehicle, namely, the flux distribution pattern of the head lamp in response to the travelling condition of a vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: A bulb 3 and a collimator lens 4 are arranged on a front optical axis L of a reflector 1, and a shade 5 for cutting a part of a luminous flux is fixed between the bulb 3 and the lens 4, and a movable lens 7 is arranged in front of the collimator lens 4 freely to be stood and fallen. This movable lens 7 is stood or turned down in response to the rotation of a steering of a vehicle or the operation of a direction indicator to change the flux distribution pattern formed by the luminous flux outgoing from the collimator lens 4.
