Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the variable focus lens which can form a uniform and satisfactory lens surface without generating ununiform curvature deformation caused by gravity, etc. CONSTITUTION:The variable focus lens is constituted so that the inside of a lens body in which at least one face is formed by a transparent film 8 is filled with a tranaparent liquid 11, and a curvature of the transparent film 8 is varied and a focus of the lens body 10 is varied by varying the capacity of the transparent liquid 11. The transparent film 8 is formed by a film made of a synthetic resin, the peripheral edge part of the transparent film 8 is inserted and held by annular rubber-like inserting/holding members 5, 6 fixed to the inside of supporting frame bodies 1, 2, and the inserting/holding surface of the rubber-like inserting/holding members 5, 6 is formed by a convex curved surface.
