Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable gain control device which has wide frequency characteristic at an identical time in desired all variable gain regions, and enables accurate output control.
SOLUTION: This variable gain control device is equipped with a modulator 1, an up-converter 2, a VCO 3, a variable gain amplifier 4 which can change the gain by a control signal, a frequency characteristic correction circuit 21 which can change the frequency characteristic on a frequency axis at an identical time by a control signal, a band-pass filter 5, an antenna 7, a frequency characteristic control circuit 22 which controls the correction circuit 21 in such a manner that the frequency characteristic is corrected corresponding to each gain of the amplifier 4, a correction table 23, a variable gain amplifier control circuit 12 for controlling the amplifier 4 to have a desired gain, a correction table 13, and an output designation circuit 14. The frequency characteristic correction circuit 21 corrects the frequency characteristic of the amplifier 4 for its each gain.
