Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deviation of an effective length of a connecting rod from a design value, in a variable length connecting rod which can change the effective length by turning an eccentric member by a hydraulic piston mechanism.SOLUTION: A variable length connecting rod 6 comprises: an eccentric member 32 having a sleeve 321 in which a piston pin receiving opening 321c is formed, a first plate 322 which is provided at one end part of the sleeve, and in which a first connecting pin receiving opening 322a is formed, a second plate 323 which is provided at the other end part of the sleeve, and in which a second connecting pin receiving opening 323a is formed, and a connecting pin 324 for connecting the first plate and the second plate in a state of being received in the first connecting pin receiving opening and the second connecting pin receiving opening; a connecting rod main body 31; hydraulic cylinders 33a and 33b; hydraulic pistons 33b and 34b; and connecting members 45 and 46. An axial line of the piston pin receiving opening is decentered from a turning axial line of the sleeve, and the sleeve and the first plate are integrated moldings.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
