Abstract:
To provide a zoom optical system which has well-corrected various aberrations including spherical aberration.SOLUTION: A zoom optical system ZL provided herein comprises a first lens group having positive refractive power, a second lens group having negative refractive power, a third lens group having positive refractive power, and a succeeding lens group arranged in order from an object side, and is configured such that a distance between each pair of adjacent lens groups changes while the first lens group is kept stationary relative to an image plane when zooming, and that the third lens group moves toward an image side when zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end. The succeeding lens group comprises a first focusing lens group with negative refractive power configured to move when focusing and a second focusing lens group with positive refractive power configured to move when focusing. The zoom optical system satisfies the following conditional expression: 0.80<(-fF1)/fF2<5.00, where fF1 represents a focal length of the first focusing lens group and fF2 represents a focal length of the second focusing lens group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
