Title:
VARIABLE PITCH MECHANISM FOR WINDMILL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2691136
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the length of a variable pitch mechanism over an area from the mounting end of a hydraulic cylinder to the front end of a guide rod, and easily house the mechanism in a rotor head.
CONSTITUTION: This mechanism has a hydraulic cylinder 9 laid approximately on a rotation center line within a rotor head 4, and a rod head 14 mounted on the end of the cylinder rod 11 of the hydraulic cylinder 9 and formed out of a self-aligning thrust bearing 15, a direct-acting bearing 16 and a link joint section 17. Furthermore, the mechanism has a plurality of guide rods 19 fixed and externally coupled to the rotor head 4 via the bearing 16 so as to be slidable in an axial direction, as well as a link 18 connected to the link joint section 17 of the rod head 14 and the link joint section 20 of the drive arm 3 of a blade 1, around the cylinder rod 11. According to this construction, the linear motion of the hydraulic cylinder 9 is converted to the rotating motion of the pitch angle of the blade 1.
