Title:
VARIABLE SPECTRAL REFLECTIVITY ALLOY AND RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6176637
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a variable spectral reflectivity alloy which can maintain partially different spectral reflectivities at the same temp. by incorporating Al and Ni respectively at prescribed ratios into the alloy and consisting the balance essentially of Cu.

CONSTITUTION: The alloy of this invention is subjected to a heating and cooling treatment in the solid phase state to have at least ≥2 kinds of the spectral reflectivities at the same temp. and can vary reversibly the spectral reflectivities. More specifically, this alloy has the phases of different crystal structures at ≥2 temp. regions in the solid phase state. The spectral reflectivity varies with the state of quick cooling at the high temp. phase out of said phases and the standard state without quick cooling. The spectral reflectivity is reversibly changed by the heating and quick cooling in the temp. region of the high-temp. phase and the heating and cooling in the temp. region of the low-temp. phase. The component compsn. of this alloy contains 14W17wt% Al and 0.01W20wt% Ni and consists of the balance Cu as the essential component, and is usable for elements for recording, displaying, sensing, etc.
