Title:
VARIABLE SPEED INDUCTION MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01157291
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the torque characteristic and efficiency of a variable speed induction motor by causing plural sets of conductors fitted to a plurality of rotor cores to deviate at different angles from each other and by connecting them together. CONSTITUTION:When power is supplied from a commercial three-phase power source to the winding 22 of a first stator 24, a rotating magnetic field is generated in stators 24, 25, and an electric current flows through conductors 5... of a rotor 8 on the basis of said rotating magnetic field so that the rotor 8 revolves. A pulse motor 35 is operated to turn each of the first and second stators 24 and 25 to generate a phase difference in a voltage induced in the rotor 8, and a composite voltage induced in rotor conductors 5 is controlled so as to increase and decrease to change the rotational speed of said rotor arbitrarily. Between rotor cores, one set of conductors 5A and another set of them 5B are caused to deviate at different angles from each other and then connected together.
