Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable speed pulley having a simple structure, smooth speed change and insensibility relating to torque fluctuation.
SOLUTION: An eccentric ring 20 of trapezoidal section winding a belt 2 is held between the first/second V groove forming units 18, 19. Each V groove forming unit 18, 19 is respectively screw connected to the first/second external thread parts 16, 17 formed in a rotary shaft 15 to have the same pitch with a reverse thread to each other. This screw connection part constitutes a torque cam mechanism T. Load torque is changed, even when the eccentric ring 20 tends to advance to the inward in a diametric direction of a variable speed pulley 8, force against this advance is generated by the torque cam mechanism T, and the advance of the ring is impeded.
