PURPOSE: To smooth air-to-fuel ratio at the time of full operation in such a way that bleed holes are made on the side of metering needle sliding contact of a variable Venturi carburetor.
CONSTITUTION: A suction piston 1 of a variable Venturi carburetor 6 is slid orthogonally to an air inlet path 16 in vertical direction. At the same time as a metering needle 2 which moves forward and backward in a metering jet 3' and adjusts fuel feeding rate is fixed at the tip of a piston 1, the needle 2 constantly slides and contacts the bottom wall of the jet 3'. Besides, a ring- shaped path 26 which is communicated to an air bleed path 4 is formed on the outer periphery of the jet 3', further it comes through the ring-shaped path 26 to the inside of the jet 3', and a plurality of bleed holes 5 are made. Therefore, in proportion to the position of the needle 2 opening area of each bleed hole 5 is varied, and its bleed rate is automatically adjusted.
