PURPOSE: To permit the correct air fuel ratio control by dividing the air bleed passage of a variable venturi type carburetor into two parts and installing a variable sectional-surface type valve into one passage and arranging an opening/ closing valve into the other and installing an adjusting screw.
CONSTITUTION: A needle valve 4 is fixed at the lower edge surface of a slidable piston 3 installed onto the upstream side of a throttle valve 6. The needle valve 4 varies the opening area of a jet 21, and bleed air is supplied into the part from the holes 26 and 27. For the bleed air passing through the hole 26, the opening area of a hole 34 is controlled according to the cooling-water temperature by a wax 27. For the bleed air passing through the hole 27, a controller 39 controls a valve 38 for opening and closing a negative-pressure passage communicating to a manifold, according to parameters aWc, and when the valve 38 is opened, a vale 40 is opened to supply air through a flow-rate adjustment setting part consisting of a passage 43 and an adjusting screw 44.
