Abstract:

To make the finer output resolution of a variable voltage generation circuit capable of output in a simple and inexpensive configuration without resorting to increased specifications of pulse signal generation means for generating a PWM signal.

The variable voltage generation circuit which has the pulse signal generation means for outputting a variable pulse width PWM signal and a filter circuit comprising a resistor and a capacitor and in which the filter circuit smooths the PWM signal output from the pulse signal generation means into a voltage proportional to the pulse width of the PWM signal includes: a resistor (R1) connected between the pulse signal generation means and the filter circuit; a resistor (R2) having one end connected between the resistor (R1) and the filter circuit; and switching means for switching a connection state of the other end of the resistor (R2) between a grounded state or state connected to a predetermined voltage and an open state.
