Abstract:
To provide a variant protein of RuBisCO having increased CO2 discrimination capability and its use.
A variation is introduced into a region positioned near a loop structure of a RuBisCO active site in a steric structure. A hydrogen bond is formed between the loop structure and the region near the loop structure when the loop structure is in a closed state. Accordingly, the CO2 discrimination capability is increased.
