Title:
VARNISH MACHINING HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60249569
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remove protrusions efficiently in magnetic disc varnish machining head, by holding the forwardly inclined position of floated head and removing the residual protrusions on the disc through chamfer edge.

CONSTITUTION: With respect to a varnish machining head for removing micro protrusions which will prevent floating of head in the final process of finish work of magnetic disc, the width of slider 3 at the air flow-out end is made wider than the slider width at the air flow-in end to hold the forwardly inclined position of floating head thus to perform varnish machining through chamfer edge at the air flow-in end having highest machining efficiency. Floating of chamfer edge is controlled through variation of the inclined angle of head caused through control of the slider width at the air flow-out end thus to equalize the following performance of head against the disc with that of the actual reading/ writing head resulting in highly efficient varnish machining.
