Title:
VASODILATIVE APPLIANCE AND CATHETER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3699984
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vasodilative appliance which has high transmittability of indentation force and torque transmittability, can be formed with a sufficiently flexible distal end and can prevent drooping in a boundary between a main body and the distal end and a catheter.
SOLUTION: The vasodilative appliance 1 has a inner pipe 5, an outer pipe 2 inserted into the inner pipe 5 and a dilating body 3. The outer pipe 2 has a superelastic metallic pipe 2b, a synthetic resin tube 2a covering the metallic pipe. A slit 2e or the like is formed at the distal end of the superelastic metallic pipe and is formed as a deformable portion more flexible than other portions. The main body of this catheter 100 is composed of the superelastic metallic pipe 101 and a synthetic resin layer 104 covering its surface. The distal end of the superelastic metallic pipe has a slot 106 or the like and is formed as the deformable portion more flexible than the other portions.
