Abstract:
PURPOSE: To quantize a code book for vector quantization according to a speaker or normalize the speaker so that the speaker matches the code book by using a small number of samples for learning.
CONSTITUTION: A movement vector is set for the centroid or input vector of each cluster, and the movement vector is determined by using learning samples of the speaker which uses a system so that when the centroid or input vector is shifted by the movement vector, it is shifted in a maximization direction or minimization direction on condition that a target function is defined separately for maximization or minimization; and the centroid or input vector is shifted by the movement vector to perform the speaker adaption in the former case or the speaker normalization in the latter case.
